Our History
Russell Upholstery Company has served the tri-state area since 1952. From 1952 to the mid 1990’s we were at various locations which were smaller and not fully equipped to handle the volume of business we have today. Our location at 1923 W. 26th St, Erie, Pa. is the first building specifically designed for furniture upholstery in the city of Erie. The new building is 6,700 square feet with two elevated docks at each end of the production area. Our furniture production follows a demand flow process which is now a straight line through the shop. This requires furniture to come in at one end of the shop and systematically move to the other end. This minimizes movement of the furniture and our employees, thus interaction of all parties is more efficient. Along with the elevated delivery docks we also have adjustable pneumatic and electric upholstery tables at each bench. We want our employees to minimize the amount of lifting of furniture where possible. At this time we are eleven employees strong that are highly experienced with many years in the upholstery field to back up the quality of the product produced. There is no stronger guarantee or commitment to affordable quality and service in our region than at Russell Upholstery.
